Missing Hancocks To Get A Revival

Between 1954 and 1959, one hundred and three episodes of the classic Hancock’s Half Hour radio show were broadcast on the BBC.  Of these twenty are missing.

To celebrate 60 years since Ray Galton and Alan Simpson’s classic comedy first hit the airwaves, the BBC are to re-record five of the missing episodes picked by Galton and Simpson themselves.  Clearly it will be with a new cast in the form of Simon Greenall, Kevin Eldon, Robin Sebastian and, as Hancock himself, Kevin R. McNally.

The episodes were recorded in the BBC Radio theatre, before a live audience this month and will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in November under the title The Missing Hancocks to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the show first being broadcast.
