Fletch Is Out Of Prison And Going Straight
Direct spin-off from Porridge and sadly often forgotten, Going Straight ran for only six episodes in 1978.
Although not as well received as Porridge the show did win a BAFTA award. Sadly any hope of a second series were dashed after the premature death of Richard Beckinsale in March 1979.
Summary:
Upon his release from prison Fletcher vows to go straight and stay out of trouble. The series featured the return of another Porridge favourite: Fletch’s naïve young cellmate Lennie Godber, who is now having a relationship with Fletch’s daughter Ingrid. It also sees the return of Raymond Fletch’s son.
Look out for a short appearance by Mr Mc Kay in episode one.
