Haggard, 1990

A forgotten gem from writer Eric Chappell.  Haggard didn’t just benefit from the talent’s of an established writer but the cast featured a number of well known names including: Keith Barron (Duty Free and Sam Kelly (Allo, Allo).

Haggard was based on the book  Squire Haggard’s Journal by Michael Green and ran for fourteen episodes over two series between 1990 and 1992.


Set during 1777—1778, in the Georgian era, the series revolves around the exploits of Squire Haggard, the Squire’s 25-year-old son Roderick, and their servant Grunge.
