Courtroom was the seventh episode of the sixth and what would become the penultimate series of In Sickness And In Health and sees Alf preparing for Jury service.
Summary
As Alf’s first day of jury service approaches he’s trying to get prepared.
Down at the pub, Alf gets into a heated argument about justice with Harry and Mr Carey about how the jury system is corrupt, whilst his near neighbour Fred Johnson tries to frighten him with tales of retribution on members of the jury.
Alf’s first day of jury service arrives. In preparation Mrs Hollingberry has ironed his trousers (badly). Still frightened by Fred Johnson’s tales Alf takes his place in the jury box wearing a false beard.
